Mr. Man!

So, for my own sake, I wanted to properly announce my little man. Having a little record of his beginnings will one day benefit him...as I'm assuming he will have lots of issues...being the 2nd kid and all.

Mr. Man
Born July 6, 2012  4:50am
8 lbs, 3 oz

And he has one very proud sister!

And is very cuddly! (Aren't after birth photos so flattering?)

Going Home! Check out those alien toes!

First time in his room!

A very good helper Sister!

Little P is very sweet with him! She calls him Mr. P (his name also starts with a P...and no...not because we wanted phonetically similar name...it just happened that way!)

He's a sweet, sweet little boy! And he fits right in to our craziness! Welcome to the World Mr. Man!

Lots of Changes

There have been lots of changes in this little house of ours.

This room got remodeled....

Don't you just love the painting? I'll tell you more about that soon!

And this little boy joined our little family! Isn't he just a precious one? I call him Mr. Man. I never expected a boy...but man, I can't imagine anything different now. His smiles, like his sister's, just melt my heart.

We also added 2 more precious babes. Our Niece and Nephew joined our little family too. We are still adjusting to having a newborn, a pre-teen, and a teenager among us! But our family is full...full of love, playfulness, cooking, sorting, cleaning, diapering, laundry, cooking some more, and playing some more!

I hope to get back to this blogging thing now! Kids back in school, early morning feedings, and full nights worth of sleep will motivate me to start documenting this crazy train a little more frequently!

Guess Where We've Been

Probably the best beach ever!!! We went to Anna Maria Island, FL. Seriously- the most beautiful beach in the US that I have ever seen! T and I love the Caribbean, but this I think has it beat. I know that sounds strange...but it was so wonderful.

Here's the cute little cottage we rented. It was 2 blocks from the beach and had its own pool!!!

Here's my little sassy girl on the white sand beaches!

This was on a rather windy day, so there were a lot more waves and the water, while still clear, was not as clear as it got.

We watched the sunset over the Gulf. Such a beautiful sight!

And we played and played and played! Believe it or not- this is Little P in the Gulf! Not the pool!! Look at the water!

And check this out...there is no photoshopping at all on this picture. NOTHING!! That is exactly how it looked.

And this is our girl in the pool. It was so nice having it just outside our door. And the pool was the clear winner for Little P and T. I'm more of a beach person, but everyday the 2 of them just wanted to play in the pool! This girl had a permagrin the whole time in the pool!

And just proof that this little boy or girl was with us...here's my big ass belly at the beach!

And finally- a family picture of just the 3.5 of us. This was taken the morning we left! P was even still  in her PJs!

And just a funny little story... One day at the beach, as we were all crammed under the beach umbrella, a seagull took a huge dump right on Thomas and Little P. We don't know how it happened, cause we were all protected, and if anyone should have been hit, it would have been my belly...ANYWHO...it was a huge crap. Thomas and I were laughing...then all the sudden P realized she had been hit, and started crying like you wouldn't believe. I mean, really crying. She was so upset that she had been shit on by this bird! Oh it was hysterical.

Later that night, we were talking about the day and we said something like...Can you believe that bird today...And with the most serious look on her face, she said "That bird dropped a big load on us!"

Little P's Room...COMPLETE

Well- We...or should I say T...has been working so hard to get this house all done before the babe arrives in July. Our goal was to have everything on our list done by this weekend...and we are soooo close.

However, the little girls room is done now...so I thought I would share just where we have been with it and what it turned into!

This is the room before we moved in.
We lived with it like this for over 6 months. The green carpet is original, and you can't tell it, but the wallpaper on the wall is of little colonial houses.

Then pregnancy hormones and green overload kicked in and I couldn't handle it anymore. So we ripped the carpet out. We knew there were hardwoods underneath, but we didn't know they'd be this nice.

Then we temporarily moved P into the room, so we could work on her room (which is now the baby's room). But she declared that she wanted the room instead of the baby. So...she lived with it like this for a couple of months. Yikes huh? I had tried to remove the house wallpaper but it was nearly impossible.

These were taken on the day we moved her in, so everything was all over the place!

And this the green wall paper on all the other walls. It was a nightmare to remove. There were 2 layers of the EXACT same wallpaper on each wall. No joke! And check out the green trim!

And finally- we have the finished product!

And keep in mind, the girl's favorite color is green. Loves it! She was disappointed when the green wallpaper came off. So we painted the walls Melange Green from Sherwin Williams.

Curtains are from Pottery Barn Kids (we've had them since we moved into the house.

Artwork over the bed is all Little P.

Shelving is Expedit from IKEA.

Rug is from Overstock.com

I love the bookshelves. They hold so much! And I love this picture because Little P made all of her animals kiss. Hehe! She's a lover!

I'm so pleased with how it turned out! Much better than the 1960's we had!

My girl has style...even when she's helping her Dad in the yard! Check out the tutu with the jogging pants!! And don't forget the rainboots and jean jacket!!

These pictures are a little old...March 4. Just wanted to remember her style!

I have a Dancer!

Somebody started dance class last week.
And it went a lot better than tumbling!

And this week we wore our official dance outfit!!!
And promptly tore the tights!

Maybe next week we don't do tights. It is about 80 degrees outside!!

A Lovely Picnic

We had a little picnic at this little spot this week (The Charlotte Nature Museum). Its a lovely little adventure, but its the perfect spot for a picnic! (From the mouse-eye view!)

Someone doesn't love her picture to be taken these days!

And just a glimpse into how we roll with a picnic! Donuts! Yes, Donuts! This girl wanted nothing else on her picnic! And I had to throw my hands in the air and surrender!

Cause look at her...there was no taking them away from her! In fact, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't share with anyone!

But then we worked the sugar off by playing in the big sandbox...

And making sand angels!

 An afternoon well spent!!
